Doing my internship in New York, the dream of every girl! Ever since I was little I dreamed of working and living in the States and now it was time to live my dream. I was about to leave The Netherlands to cross the ocean to enjoy my adventure in 'The City That Never Sleeps'. Saying goodbye to my friends and parents was very hard, but jet fun. There I went, a long flight to New York, it was all worth it!

My internship started a little earlier, so I could meet the employees and get used to my new life in New York. I did my internship at a PR-company in the heart of New York. Sometimes I had to pick up some things at customers or bring it to them. There were also great times where I got to go to a party in the Hamptons.

I really had to get used to my life in New York! It's very crowded everywhere you go. Everybody and I mean everybody uses the subway. During my time in New York I visited everything I could visit, including a musical on Broadway. The Lion King was an amazing musical and it was on Broadway!

My parents visited me for my birthday. Together we went to Washington DC. The White House who doesn't want to see that! We went to see the White House after a tour in the Capitol, the House of Senate and House of Congress. Unfortunately there were no foreigners allowed in the White House, so we saw a movie of the inside of the White House in the Visitor Centre. It was way too soon to say goodbye to my sweet parents.

Now that I am back in the Netherlands, I realise I had the best time of my life! All the friends I made, sweet colleagues and people I met during my time in New York. A memory I will never forget.
